"Well, what can we say but a fantastic holiday with an equally fantantic house! Can't really tell you much about places to visit, etc. as we never left the house. Weather was great for the whole 2 weeks. Will deffo!! be coming back next year." - John and Eli, Edinburgh, Scotland
''Lovely, comfortable house. Well equipped with everything that is necessary. All the bedrooms are different but equally charming. The beds are so comfortable ensuring a good night's sleep. Easy to stay in and around house to chill and relax. Pool is lovely style and very welcoming in the heat of the day and evening. For excursions-the Millau Viaduct is spectacular and certainly worth viewing. Espallion and Estaing are close enough to explore, not just the once." - Peter and Diana - Peter and Diana
''The House
A marvellous property, a timeless feel and well put together for the holiday-maker. Very comfortable, nice & simply done and with all ‘mod cons’. Couldn’t be much better! The kids took the attic rooms, cinema till all hours then fall into bed (or drop off in the cinema room). Breakfast on the decking, watching the mist lift as the sun comes up was a treat. Internet great for the kids to keep in touch with their mates and to get the weather forecast.
The Pool
The guy’s and gals in the pool nearly every day, many an hour spent by the poolside. Break the time up with crosswords & other puzzles or a game of TT or Boles. Lovely warm water and no chlorine is brilliant. The kids spent lots of time under water.
The Garden
Lovely to wander around, checking how things are doing. Bob was chief gardener, dead heading & watering on a regular basis. The trees at the back of the house give great shelter throughout the day (planned when planted of course).
The countryside
We would never tire of the views from Les Lilas, a marvellous setting in superb country. Wide open spaces, quiet rural area was just the job! Great big star filled the sky & the shooting star season is here.'' Jan
Dear Maura,
Sorry about taking so long to write to you and let you know what a fantastic time we had at Les Lias. It really was absolutely fantastic, we had such a great time. Like you, when we arrived the pool was full of leaves, but with a bit of work with the net we were up and running in no time. Paul was great in getting things up and running. We did arrive a bit earlier than we thought we would, but I don't think there was any problem with that.
The pool was great and we went swimming every day. I wasn't sure we were going to be able to, but the weather was great while we were there. I have no idea of temperatures, but it was lovely. We were also able to use the tub every evening and this was great for the adults.
You are very lucky to have such a great place to retreat to, and it is in such a fabulous place. It is the first time I have been to that specific part of France and will be back.
I assume you have had a chance to catch up with Paul at this stage and make sure that everything was left as it should have been and so, I would like to request the refund of our deposit please. If you can make a cheque out to me, I will make sure everyone gets their share. Thank you.
Take care and thank you for allowing us to share your part of paradise.
Kind Regards
Donal
